2024/4/5 Joint seminar: UC Irvine Intellectual Property &Art Clinic and Korea Univ. Internet Law Clinic

On April 5, 2024, Korea University Law School's Internet Law Clinic and UC Irvine Intellectual Property & Art Clinic held a joint seminar where the Korea University students presented their ongoing work in defending Louis Vuitton's trademark infringement lawsuit against a bag repairer who merely reformed the LV bags at the owners' direction, and in defending the font copyright trolls' lawsuits against various innocent users of the misnamed "free" font files under the misleading terms of use which allowed non-profit use and the UC Irvine students in defending the rap artists whose lyrics have been used against them as evidence of crime.

Talyor Swift's NFL Kansas City Chiefs' jersey upcycled into a padding jacket, and G-Dragon's customized Chanel bag symbolize the consumer's right to modify the products that they own and commandeer the more dextrous hands in doing so.
